Current research status will be presented at the 21st Annual National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Systems Engineering Conference. The Helix presentation will be at 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 23 in the Systems Engineering Effectiveness track. The 21 st annual NDIA systems engineering conference is sponsored by the NDIA, in cooperation with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, and the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), with support from the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Systems Engineering in the Office of Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering in the Department of Defense. The highlight of this conference is to focus on improving acquisition and performance of programs and systems with the defense industry. This includes systems of systems engineering, systems security, net-centric operations and data/information interoperability, and system sustainment. The conference provides a unique opportunity for government, industry, and academia to shape policy and procedures by sharing lessons learned and innovative tactics. The Helix project principal investigator, Dr. Nicole Hutchison will be presenting on “Helix: Developing an Understanding of Organizational Systems Engineering Effectiveness”.
